Strategiczna Gra wojenna
Niemiecka ofensywa w Alzacji, na początku 1945 roku, była ostatnią próbą Wehrmachtu na przejęcie inicjatywy strategicznej na froncie zachodnim. Po klęsce w Ardenach rzucono do walki ostatnie posiadane siły. Wojska niemieckie po 6 latach wojny już był bardzo osłabione, natomiast jeszcze raz postanowili przejąć inicjatywę strategiczną. Atak zakończył się klęską i utratą całego przyczółku kolmarskiego. Straty były tak wielkie, że już tylko kwestią czasu było załamanie całego niemieckiego frontu nad Renem.

The German offensive in Alsace in early 1945 was the Wehrmacht’s last attempt to take over a strategic initiative on the Western Front. After the defeat in the Ardennes, their last remaining forces were put into action. The attack was a failure and resulted with a the loss of the entire Kolmar bridgehead. The losses were so great that the collapse of the entire German front on the Rhine was just a matter of time.
L’offensiva tedesca in Alsazia all’inizio del 1945 fu l’ultimo tentativo della Wermacht di riprendere l’iniziativa strategica sul fronte occidentale. Dopo la sconfitta nelle Ardenne, le ultime forze rimaste furono messe in azione. L’attacco fu un fallimento e portó alla perdita dell’intera testa di ponte di Kolmar. Le perdite furono cosi ingenti che il collasso dell’intero fronte tedesco sul Reno diventó solo una questione di tempo.
L’offensive Allemande en Alsace du début de 1945 fut la derniere tentative de prendre l’iniative stratégique sur le front de l’ouest par la Wehrmacht. Apres la défaite dans les Ardennes, leurs dernieres forces restantes furent mise en action. L’attaque fut un échec et eu comme résultat la perte entiere de la tete de pont de Colmar. Les pertes furent si grandes que l’éffondrement de l’entiereté du front Allemand sur le Rhin n’était plus qu’une question de temps.
